Mrs. Sullivan’s Newsletter
December 2, 2013
Dear Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Break! Our Thanksgiving Feast last Tuesday was wonderful. Students really enjoyed the feast. We appreciate all your support. Fourth grade did a great job bringing in gravy for the feast.
Many students are struggling in math because they have not mastered their multiplication facts. Multiplication facts should have been mastered before the end of the first quarter. Students who are unable to master their daily multiplication drills with a score of 80% or higher will have extra work in multiplication until their scores improve. Please encourage your child to practice their facts at home.
Students will be given math, reading, and spelling homework on Monday. All homework is due on Friday. Please encourage your child to complete all class and homework assignments in a timely manner. We only have three weeks of school until the end of the second quarter!
Students can go online to practice their spelling/vocabulary words! Please go to the following website www.scottsboro.org/~flewis/.../Spelling%20City%204th%20Grade.htm . Pick the story that students are reading in class, and you will find tons of fun activities. Students may want to bookmark the page, so they can find it quickly. Students are very excited to explore their words at home online.
